Hickory Bottoms is located off Mount Olive Road in the north central portion of the refuge.
The site highlights a 200-acre tract of contiguous forest with large shagbark hickories, oaks and cypress. It has received national recognition for its songbird populations. The site is a popular hunting and wildlife watching
spot. Trail length: 1.5 miles. Difficulty: Easy
